The Northern California Gospel Music Festival is a celebration of the Gospel Music genre whose roots are American and was embraced in the 19th Century by African Americans to reflect their musical heritage. Gospel music has had a deep effect on many musical genres in the 20th Century such as jazz, Christian country, rhythm & blues & bluegrass. The genre was the inspiration for the 2013 festival held in Nevada City, California and benefitted the Methodist Churches “Mutare” project in Zimbabwe.

The 2nd Annual Northern California Gospel Music Festival is May 24, 2014 at the Combie Bible Church in Lake of the Pines, south of Grass Valley and north of Auburn, California. The Festival will begin at 10 am and end at 6 pm with a wonderful schedule of performers. Featured groups are the Gospel Motivators (returning from last year), Paige Anderson and the Fearless Kin (also returning from last year), The Sons of Salvation, The Aaron Gayden Band, The Glory Seekers, and The Priesthood Nation.

This year’s Gospel Music Festival supports Women of Worth  a non-profit organization assisting victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking.
