Andy Gonzales ~  Producer/Artistic Director

Andy is a native of Iowa Hll, California and graduated from Colfax High School.  After graduation, Andy joined the Navy to see the world.  His Naval experiences were the foundation for the many activities he has led since then.  He was the first winner of the, now very prestigious, Western States 100 Mile Endurance Run.  The stamina he used for that race prepared him for the numerous events that he has coordinated of the years, including home shows, Lyon’s Club fundraisers, band gigs and concerts.  He is a drummer and enjoys an eclectic mix of music.  Last year he created the Nevada City Gospel Music Festival, now the Northern California Gospel Music Festival. 

 

Marika Smolensky ~ Public Relations 

Music has always been an integral part of Marika’s life. Growing up in an environment with a professional musician as a parent and teacher, she was classically trained, eventually earning degrees in Music and an MBA. Appreciating all genres, she has played with a variety of groups from orchestras to congregational worship services to Alasdair Fraser’s Fiddle extravaganza’s! Her eclectic experience spans developing soundtracks for music and multi-media productions to project management in the high-tech world of Intel, traveling all over the world. She considers it a natural evolution (and blessing) to be able to combine her expertise in business and technology with her passion for music, and talent for collaboration, to bring joyful and entertaining experiences to others.  Current Engagements:  McConnell Music Therapy Services, Music with a Purpose, The Aaron Gayden Band, Festivalive, Steven Randal Band, Celebration Church Events & Concerts, and 2nd Annual Northern California Gospel Music Festival 

Pamela Young ~ Media Promotions

In the mid 80’s and into the 90’s, Pam was one of three owners of radio station KOTR, 94.9 F.M. In those years Pam achieved the Arbitron rating of the number morning drive listenership of males 17 to 80 years of age. Pam produced and promoted an extensive list of talent with her partner in Crucial Arts Productions. Listed are a few :  Burning Spear Queen Ida and the Zydeco Band; Black Uhuru David Lindley; The I Three Sting; Jimmy Cliff Jackson Browne; Bruce Cockburn Atom Ant; Leon Russell Willie Nelson; and, Jimmie Buffett Ziggy Marley.  Currently, Pam is participating in the publicity of the Northern California Gospel Music Festival.

Penelope Curtis ~ Social Media/Website

Penel has lived in California all of her life, growing up in the SF Bay Area, where in a previous life-time, she worked for the SF Symphony and the San Jose Symphony.  She lived for a time in the LA area where she ran the Pasadena Chamber Orchestra and did large events for the LA Area Chamber of Commerce.  In 1990 she moved to Nevada County where she became a telecommuter, worked on preserving the North Star House and then ran the Nevada County Arts Council where she produced the first local Wynton Marsalis concert.  Many events and historic trails trekked with Andy, she is now a part of the Northern California Gospel Music Festival.
